Love, Love

It turns out that I LOVE the movie Penelope. I think it's one of the best films I've seen in a really long time. I adore the story, I love the colorful sets, the actors are brilliant, and it has a happy ending. I love, love, love, love, love it. I'd marry it, but my husband would object. I want to wear clothes like she wears! Especially colorful tights. I really like colorful tights. And her scarves! And her shoes!!! And her skirts!!! And her sweaters!!! Yes, I love it all! If you have not watched this movie, you seriously need to. It rocked my world.

Speaking of movies, I want to build holiday collections of a few classic films that I enjoy watching at certain times of the year. Tonight I found an old favorite Halloween film, Ernest Scared Stupid. I adored that film when I was a child. I had a major crush on the little boy who was the main character. I am hoping to order The Worst Witch (circa 1986) later this month on Amazon. Then to round out my Halloween collection I will need to acquire It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (circa 1966), and HalloweentownI, II, and III. Not IV though, because that is a different actress as the main character. They shouldn't try to switch actresses, it just ruins the whole experience. Penelope could also make a Halloween movie, but I think it is going to turn into an any time movie. Maybe this year for Halloween I will dress up and eat candy and watch all of these movies. That is one of my favorite things to do on Halloween, watch movies. I'm not a scary movie fan, though (as if you couldn't tell). They have to be fun, happy movies.

Then, for Christmas, I have to make a whole new list of favorites. A Charlie Brown Christmas is a must. So is the animated version of How The Grinch Stole Christmas, though I also really like the live action version. I have to see White Christmas and anything that involves Muppets and Christmas. Tons of Muppet Christmas movies/shows.

If you have any holiday movies to add to my list, please let me know. Just keep in mind that I have to have happy endings.
